... the hotel for a quick change and the usual round of canopies and drinks before heading out to the "Basement" to see a live band called the Soul Rebels. We had a really fantastic night. ... now I'm on a budget and met the others at the flat for a post beach flat party. We stayed there for a few hours, a couple of trips to the roof and a police visit and then we headed into town to see what Manly had to offer.

... and to give the room a thought. I find some bar food down the street, start to read the great book I'm already 100 pages into (called "Sovereign") and before I can ever turn a single page I think "NOPE. Can't stay in that hostel". I knew that, even if I did suck it up for 3 nights, I would be in the pissiest mood the whole time and I didn't think that losing $70 bucks was worth it.
