... 500 there tonight and it was a great atmosphere. Despite not really on knowing the rules, our native Aussie friend Kristy sorted us out with what was going on. It was a really close game with the swans taking the Iead in the first 2 quarters but the Richmond Tigers came back with bang and got a 95-77 win. Fantastic experience and enjoyed it alot more than I would have thought. Great fast moving and physical game.

So, absolutely shattered we returned home via taxi, and to bed.

Postponed our trip to the zoo to ...

... unrecognisable as the UK despite them being taken as recently as the 1960s. A very thought provoking display, it would be impossible to not be affected.

To lighten the mood, our next stop was the nearby botanical gardens which offered a bit of light relief after the intensity of the exhibition. What a setting. Strolling through the park, you are followed by the constant sound of waves lapping against the stone walls. ...

... previous day from Sumi – a gorgeous framed photo of the two of them. I have no idea if the teachers suggested gifts, but even if they did, it was a moving (for me and Jonathan at least) show of affection for the girls. Whether or not the girls learned anything during their 5 weeks at school – and I’m sure they did – this ending was worth all the earlier turmoil.

That evening we went down to ...
