          Today we went to Penglai Pavilion. It was one of the places that everyone we have met said we must visit in Yantai. We weren't disappointed. It was absolutely beautiful and exactly what we had expected of China. The architecture was divine – literally, as it is where the "8 immortals" are said to have lived. Unfortunately we still don’t exactly know who the “8 immortals” were, as again, most of the information was in Chinese! Nonetheless we took lots ...

          ... into the mountain behind it. Apparently people make a bit of a Pilgrimage and are blessed by getting to the top to touch it. We were lucky to have it almost to ourselves.
