After all the grandeur and fanciness of yesterday’s arrival, I figured breakfast would probably also be a pretty sumptuous affair. Sure enough, i was not disappointed. A huge buffet with meats, cheese, hot things, cold things, cereals, juices, etc, etc … and even decent coffee. Oh and staff wandering around asking if we’d like a glass of strawberry juice. That’s a new one.

What a great place!
We got quite the taste of extremes on this island. We have met some super nice Greek people and some who, well, all I can say is...wow. We loved Santorini and were excited to see Mykonos. We left that morning and got a ride to the port. We loaded onto a HUGE ferry with many other passengers and sailed along the water for the next two hours. It was a really enjoyable ride. We were both really tired, but we made it to Mykonos.

We were chatting to him about how busy it was and he laughed and said this was nothing; in high season you can't even get a taxi straight off the boat because he's already sold his services to someone for heaps of cash, so everything has to be pre-arranged if you want to get anywhere.
