... accurately, alleys, twist & turn every 10 m apparently to fool the pirates. It was quite windy & coolish so we returned to the waterfront & had another drink & a plate of the best fried squid that we have ever tasted. Luckily for us the wi-fi worked well so we all caught up on correspondence etc.

At about 6.30 we returned to the ship & were in bed by about 9pm after a pretty lazy ...

          Strong chilly winds.
About 5.30pm we arrived at Mykonos and I was relieved to be feeling much better as I dearly wanted to see this Island which spans an area of 85.5 square kilometres and rises to an elevation of 341 metres (1,119 feet) at its highest point. There are 10,134 inhabitants (2011 census). From the ship we boarded a bus to be taken to a bus terminal, and from there we walked into the village, also known as Chora. Dimitris, ...

A huge buffet with meats, cheese, hot things, cold things, cereals, juices, etc, etc … and even decent coffee. Oh and staff wandering around asking if we’d like a glass of strawberry juice. That’s a new one.

Suitably stuffed full of breakfast, we decided ...

          What a great place!

We got quite the taste of extremes on this island. We have met some super nice Greek people and some who, well, all I can say We loved Santorini and were excited to see Mykonos. We left that morning and got a ride to the port. We loaded onto a HUGE ferry with many other passengers and sailed along the water for the next two hours. It was a really enjoyable ride. We were both really tired, but we made it to Mykonos.

... to jump into the car to maximise the fare! We were chatting to him about how busy it was and he laughed and said this was nothing; in high season you can't even get a taxi straight off the boat because he's already sold his services to someone for heaps of cash, so everything has to be pre-arranged if you want to get anywhere.

Anyway, we were soon cruising around from the new port where the big ferry docks towards Mykonos town and we got our first ...
