Ears, fleas and horses
... well as a lesson riding. With sketchy directions, we headed out 30 minutes early, only to arrive a dozen calls to Mirjram later and 30 minutes late. Ugh. I think it was a combination of communication challenge and accents that led me to a dirt road, I thought she was saying WHITE road, when she was saying RIGHT road. Ok, I need to brush up on my English.

A City of Light
... more stairs than we could count that lead to our roof top rooms. It turned out to be the perfect place to have a drink (thank you again my best friends at the Kamenar for the ice!) and watch some of the local talent as they danced and sang the night away in the square below our balcony. It was also a great place to dry some of the clothing that we washed out being unable to find a convenient laundry.

Moving in to Rovinj
... After the soup, the rest of the food for the meal went downhill. Stacy and Abi ordered risotto for lunch and when they brought it out, the rice was not cooked so it was crunchy. After sending it back to get cooked some more, it was returned smelling very "fishy". Apparently, the chef used fish stock to cook the rice the rest of the way. Hotel Valamar
... island that is only accessible for guests by a shuttle boat, the UNESCO heritage site of St. Euphrasia, which has fully in tact Byzantine mosaics from the 6th century and the Baredine caves, the largest tourist friendly cave in Istria.
