We left Crater of Diamonds SP and headed south back to the Gulf coast and New Orleans. After looking at the map, we decided we should have gone to New Orleans first, then north to AR. A lttle too late then.

The Deep South
Driving between Kinder and Shreveport we saw a lot of wholesale nurseries and the plants looked like they are ready for market. The growing season seems the most advanced here in Louisiana. We are also seeing a lot of pine trees for the first time and logging trucks. So, lumber must be a viable industry here. It is a beautiful area.

Last day of play
... on a couple tennis courts. They had one court marked, but the lines were removed. Too bad, it was a nice enough day for outdoor play, and while 20 of us were inside with the majority waiting to play, I watched one couple on one tennis court (six were available) stand around and socialize more than they played.
