... first at Aussitel, because tonight we played the inaugural Aussitel Scavenger Hunt challenge, which entailed going around the jetty area trying to take photo's/video's and find various random items, in order to earn the most points. ... to peck each other to death in the romantic setting. The moment was ruined for us and left a bad taste in spite of the fantastically evocative view. We left after taking our pictures and listening to the dawn chorus for a while, and went on to see the "Natural Bridge". We spent 3 nights camping by Sapphire beach just north of Coffs Harbour. Coffs, is a really beautiful stretch of coastline and it was great camping just a stones throw from the beach, with the roaring waves in the background.

... there. It was well worth it. What a beautiful historic town in the High Country. Another day and another drive, this time to Woolgoolga which is only 15 minutes from where we are staying, but finally we spotted some whales. It was only brief sightings, but exciting all the same. ... well, chatted and watched the proceedings. All fixed, we were on our way and he wouldn't accept anything for his trouble.

While the rest of the drive was a wash out, the final act was outstanding. The Santa Fe B&B in Coffs Harbour is actually located up in the hills, seemingly miles from anywhere.
