... Very pretty to look at, but the best was that it turned out that my guide for the village knew the dude that was riding me on his bike yesterday!! I guess he started liking me, because at some point he brought me to some friends places where we had tea, banana chips, lunch and we ended up ust spending the day talking about life. Last, we passed the wedding preparation of another friend where people offered me food that was intended for the next day's party and made me ...

The rolling landscape complete with mountains, rice paddies, shanty towns, rickety bridges to name just a few made the journey rather pleasant! (HA!)

During the week long Term Break, Alice the Aussie's twin sister Erin came down to Bandung by train to hang around town with us. We went shopping along Dago to the factory outlets and had dinner at Porto as per usual. It was a relaxing and fun week, but near the end of it we went to Pasa Baru with Sean, a fellow teacher.

Pasa Baru refers to a building that was constructed by the city for shopping and trade. It's not a mall, just an indoor marketplace. However, this has ...

... bug or lizard can crawl into. We had to take up the ones in our bedroom because it freaked us out that something could come into our room while we were sleeping.

Our next goal is to get a bug zapper that we can hang up on our porch to hopefully attract and kill the majority of bugs before coming into the house.

The other big problem that we discovered...a leaky roof - Correction: a BROKEN roof. After a particularly torrential rainstorm, Kyle and I came home to find ...
