... few times :) I definitely felt in my element! No one else had ever driven one before. We drove to the Red Beach. (pictures below). The water was so clear you could see the fish swimming below you. The transport back to Athens was another long ferry ride followed by a sleepless night at airport and more flying! All good though.
Time is going by fast. I am really enjoying my classes and ...
... do seeing the 2 eldest kids crying and asking to stay longer? There was hugging and kissing and off they went. I had the 3 kids for a whole week, something I had never done before, and then the whole family for 10 more days.
We are away by now and I do hope you enjoy the new entries from Chalkida coming in ...
... stop *****ing about everything. These people are never satisfied with anything and I am sure will have remarks to make even if they visit a luxurious 5* hotel.
I could go on and write pages about this specific hotel that honestly touched me. I close my review with a big ‘thank you’ for the great hospitality and want to state that I consider it a hidden gem for budget holidays. Keep the good work up guys!!!
... We had planned to have a light snack since we are having seafood dinner much later this evening.
Having no intention at all for an afternoon nap I asked for an espresso and Yianni has a Greek coffee with some chocolate cake accompanied by some ice cream. How could we get a nap and ignore the beautiful view we have from our balcony of the waterfront on the left and the mountain range of Dirfy on the right with its peak covered in snow!!
... cold glass of wild cherry syrup and cherries in the glass, and a plate of fresh prunes from the orchard. Now I know exactly the whole process of drying figs, have plenty of photos, and have enjoyed the hospitality of the locals. I am so pleased!
I want to thank Mr. George and Zacharoulla Lagos. Their village is called Vitalo, and it is famous for its lovely Cherries!
Before leaving we are even offered dried figs to take home with us -about a kilo as a gift.
