21 OCTOBER 2012 - We had a slack morning, no breakfast included which was good actually for a change. We chilled out in our room, surfed the net and sorted some stuff out. We pack the car and Mary notices something in the grass, Troy’s undies had wings and flew away from the balcony, so I pick these stray undies and we had to laugh, well it was funny for us! We leave Evia Island and head closer to Athens ...
... do seeing the 2 eldest kids crying and asking to stay longer? There was hugging and kissing and off they went. I had the 3 kids for a whole week, something I had never done before, and then the whole family for 10 more days.
We are away by now and I do hope you enjoy the new entries from Chalkida coming in ...
... stop *****ing about everything. These people are never satisfied with anything and I am sure will have remarks to make even if they visit a luxurious 5* hotel.
I could go on and write pages about this specific hotel that honestly touched me. I close my review with a big ‘thank you’ for the great hospitality and want to state that I consider it a hidden gem for budget holidays. Keep the good work up guys!!!
Chalkida and the Lucy Hotel
We are driving 45 Kms from where we live to the city of Chalkida, the capital of Evia. Earlier this summer I spent 3 wonderful days here again on the other side behind the Castle, but this time we are just in front of the waterfront in the centre of the city.
The unique phonomenon of the straits of Euripus attracts not only tourists but ...
... a nudists' beach with a few tents.
I was taking photos and a video when my eyes caught sight of a couple who is sunbathing enjoying the morning sun and beauty of their surroundings just a few metres away.
Tip: The trip from Steni Evias is much shorter than coming from Kymi. (90 minute drive, -while from Steni it is 45 minutes).
