Don't bother
... the border into Turkey - the connections were to random, so my best option was to travel 10hrs east to Istantbul and then return 6hrs west to get to Gallipoli. The night train departs Thessonaliki at 7:40pm and should arrive at The 'Bul at 8am - we arrived just after 11am!! From Thessaloniki, But About Leaving Turkey
... bag from the left luggage office, and went off to the docks to search for a bus to or on the way to my intended destination, Lapseki. There there would be a ferry across to the Gallipoli Peninsula.
No such buses were to be found. So I headed back into the terminal to find a company. But I was intercepted (the obvious foreigner) by a ticket tout, who happened to name a city beyond my desired getting off point. So I went with him.

Pressing on
... when the world presented challenges and "road blocks." He reminded them that whether or not there are accomplishments in this life ("in the flesh") we are to continue "straining forward to what lies ahead" in our life in Christ.
So, for a few more days, I am pressing on with my pilgrimage. It's almost over, only a few days left before Eli and Hannah meet me in Rome. Then the rhythm and focus of this sabbatical change. ...
