    As mentioned, we now have two full sea days ( a real good chance to 'rest up')...after the usual breakfast morning routine...pool-time stuff, we got ready for dinner at one of the 4 speciality restaurants on board. Tonight was Toscana, an Italian restaurant that is most excellent.
    Wow, that was a fast day! Next day...much more of the same. we are having good weather with moderate seas ( 8-12 ft)...quite smooth with a little motion.

    I'm ot sure why our ship docked here, but perhaps it was just an opportunity to walk on land before the long 7 day stretch back to the coast of Africa.     ... rumour mill is in overdrive. Dinner as we set sail from Santa Cruz and back on the way to Lisbon, the Captain reckons we can make up the time and still get in for 9am on Monday. To the show in Curzon and a guy, Bruce Morrison celebrating 25 years of Les Mis, he narrated some of the history along with singing some of the songs, all in all a very good show :-) Another hour forward today then we'll be back on UK ...

    ... ashore to give to the kids and they did appreciate it. The buildings are colourful, there is an open air African market and a craft centre, so lots to just wander round. Apparently at the weekend there is a square near to 2 hotels which have live music, this can be heard in the square and so a lot of people congregate there. I'm guessing if you are a guest at the hotel it might be a bit intimidating. It's also very cheap here so I guess that's the best thing. After the ...
