... stuck in the boot of a dodgy taxi and having to fork out essentially a ransom to get our belongings back. After weighing up our options we went for the potential pickpocketing on the train. This proved to be a wise choice as we were at our station in about 40mins and it cost a little over a dollar each. Despite making it to our station with ease we soon found out the walk to our hotel was slightly more challenging. It was still close to 40 degrees and with ridiculously ...

They arrived very early on Weds morning, and as it was my day off we made the most of the time, starting with breakfast at McD's at the airport - that most Chinese of all experiences!

There is an airport bus that runs from the golf hotel at my complex, and we had a lovely tiki-tour ride back ...

... that come back to visit so that they remember the special dishes of Cantonese food. We finished our stay with pictures out front. It truly was a delightful visit and a wonderful experience. Jim and I were impressed at the improved level of care that we saw and also the improved conditions. Still heartbreaking to see all the children in need of a family. The rest of the day we toured Guangzhou. We stopped at the Chen Family temple that is over 100 years old and ...
