    After a nicely-catered flight on Singapore Airlines (endless food and drinks served in a first class fashion!), we woke up (John slept little to not at all, Sally and Jill not much more!) flying over Ireland around 8:00 in the morning (1 AM central time).     We have arrived in Frankfurt! This airport is HUGE.  After navigating the many tunnels and terminals we found our our way to our gate and also to a bar called Hausmans.  Its is only 8am Frankfurt time but for us it feels more like midnight for us so a stein of german beer is going down good! This place is pretty amazing for an airport restaurant.   Great food as well.   Our flight from Calgary was very long and the 9.5 hours definitely dragged on near the end. ...

  • That night we didn't feel like doing too much so we sat and played monopoly while having a few drinks. A couple of young Canadian guys also going us.
