    ... boat anyway.

    We went to the Tame Otter which is a Vintage Inn for a nice lunch and then I went to the supermarket with my mum while Carrie had the fun of giving my dad and grandparents a trip down the canal.

    Apparently the biggest problem for Carrie was trying to control my dad who just wanted to go rather fast and steer into the overhanging willow trees to make his parents have to duck out of the way. But she survived without my dad crashing, ...

    ... used to produce power for a long time. Consequently, mills were built here. I haven't read up on all the history of them, but have a few photos of the information. I also went into their visitor centre. They have gone to a lot of trouble to make the valley accessible with walking trails and bits fenced off for safety. I also noticed one part was a designated rock climbing area, with a request for 'no fouling'. I presume they mean dogs?

    ... so despite both me and Carrie being exhausted we limped our way into Armitage.

    Once moored up it seemed like Carrie got a burst of energy so went blackberry picking, we then had a dinner of beans on toast with mushrooms followed by french toast with a kind of jam style coulis using the last of the fresh fruit.

    ... which didn't work before going on it again once done the second time he came back and explained how sick he felt from the ride and this is why he didn't want to go on it the second time all i could do was laugh so mean but had to be done. We had to sit down for a bit and take it slow even though it was lunch time we now couldn't eat cause Pete didn't feel well from the ride hahaha. I am very impressed though i wasn't game ...
