2 Lemsai Road Kata Beach, Karon Muang Phuket, Thailand, 66-76-371-600
... MB, it was mostly a shoulder thing. For me—a mostly albino chap and accustomed to our SPF 75 spray (the chemical equivalent of wearing a burqa to the beach)—I suffered. Our spray ran out mid-application, so I look like a barber pole – white streaks and red burns. Ouch. However, all in all, it was a wonderful day, worth the bumpy ride (but oh how I wish I hadn’t put our large metal hotel keys in my butt pocket) and the searing pain of toasted skin.

Tomorrow: Elephants
Phuket, Thailand chmielewskij... day we had breakfast on the street and then headed over to the Interconnential Bangkok. OMG describes this hotel! It is the best hotel I have stayed at which amazing facilities which has to be experienced. The spa and sauna is awesome as well as the pool bar. We got it cheap cheap on wotif for $185 AU, it was so awesome-ness and Mary has good but expensive taste when she so desires - lol! :) We ordered room service and enjoyed last ...
Phuket, Thailand ddoumani... inside there. After bungee jumping, we go back to our hotel and take a rest before going for a dinner. We woke up at 1900 and after clean ourself, we heading down to the street for a dinner. There's a lot of stall at the street. The only problem is, you have to choose which stall you want to go because there's too many of them. So, we just randomly pick a stall and sit there. We ordered a steam fish, a vege and a prawn and this food is ...
Phuket, Thailand bonzaimy... they are conquering in the day time. I think it might have to do with the buzz, but hey, what do I know? Definitely not in Kansas anymore. Ton Sai is how I remember with all of its stunning views and beach baby attitude. We kayaked, chilled, I got ridiculously sunburned, did the touristy shopping thing, and reminded ourselves constantly how fabulous it is to keep pushing that comfort zone every chance we can. I hope I can KEEP doing that!
Ton Sai, Thailand janice21... I think the Thai people are generally dog lovers as you see food stall workers throwing them scraps. The dogs here also appear to know the green cross code which is funny to watch them putting into practice. So we had a very early start on Monday and it was still dark as we waited outside for the minibus to take us on our visa run to Burma (Myanmar). Typically I slept the whole way as the minibus was silent. Lois woke me when we arrived in Ranong around lunchtime. We were ...
Phuket, Thailand sistersontour... As good as all this is though it was a very different story at the time. All I wanted was answers. And treatment. When the orthopaedic physician came in to give me the good news I was lying on my back with my arms and legs jerking around like a puppet. I had pins and needles running through my hands, down my arms and legs and the rest of my body was gripped with excruciating pain. I was sweating, intensely anxious and excessively ...

Phuket, Thailand princesscheryl... we would crash into cliffs or be carried away to Indonesia) meant it took a long time to get anywhere. That became the last of our problems as staying upright took precedence. Downstairs Shane and I had got there too late and all the seats were taken so we stood by Shanes 'Stripper Pole' and leaned against a counter near some mouldy bread and bottles of random things. I was attempting to keep my eyes on the horizon to help my seasickness but it became hard when the boat was swaying so ...
