... in Glacier National Park, I was on the move again. Time to head west. Just outside of Glacier was a town, called Whitefish. The drive changed from bucolic to Big Box. Walmart, Lowe's, Cabela's, fastfood...etc. And then it turned, again, to cute houses and leafy side roads as I entered the outskirts of Whitefish. The town was hoppin'. Today we jumped in the truck for a day trip to Kintla Lake which is Glacier's most remote front country. It is located in the upper most northwest section of the park known as the North Fork, approximately 40 miles (2 1/2 hours or more) from the west entrance and the Canadian border, which is closed as a border crossing.
