... Meg is from Eugene and knows my cousin, Marcia. The route was hilly but not awful. We arrived at about 1pm and had a few beers before heading to the Alberque It almost like a rest day. The weather is much warmer this week and it was very nice to get here in time to rinse out a few things. It is always a race to get a bottom bunk and a sunn y spot on the clothesline. We have ...

... In Ourense after th e Roman Bridge there are two different routes. Legend says that the Peregrinos selected which path based on which route was bing taxed by the Bishop. I took the Northeast route which was actually 22K. It began with a lovely crossing of the old Roman Bridge followed by an incredibly steep climb. But the weather is fabulous so it wasn't that bad. I missed a turn and went about 1K ...

Sat on the bed more. While I was out, I saw Bob, Elizabeth and Jose-Maria. They are all Camino veterans who are on ...

Today, was the longest stage - 33K which is about 20 miles. It began with a very beautiful early morning flat section through cute villages and fields. I stopped for water at one of the Pilgrim Fountains and then the ascent began. It wasn't as bad a a Canda but it was steady..and long. Some of the trail was very rocky but it was dry so it didn't feel dangerous. At the top of the mountain, the village of Alberqueria has one of the ...

... quite far before I found it but I was confident that even though thee was no ATM that they would be able to give me cash if I went inside. NOT SO MUCH. He fetched me, ran my MasterCard through his phone and for 3€ Commision i now have 100€. I was a miracle...thank you Apple and thank ...
