Disney Freak hits Disneyland Paris

... a combination of Pirates of the Caribbean and Peter Pan and it flows seamlessly. My headache has retreated enough that I decide it is time to find the Indiana Jones ride. I get in line to get a fast pass, and as I come up to the machines a man is giving away a fast pass that his family isn’t going to use. Sometimes it just pays to be a single at the amusement park. I thank him and go right over to the fast pass entrance. I end up in the front row ...

... Villains did a dance to songs from his or her Disney movie. There was a parade, with the floats lit up with lights, but it wasn't very Halloweeny . At the and of the night at 12:00 there were Fireworks. We stayed in the "Davy Crocket Village." It was okay staying there. Breakfast (provided) was awesome (croissants, baguette, chocolate milk) but Merina didn't have it twice (they forgot her special order meal...). The bed that Mom and Dad slept on was like a ...

... for over half of the 1.7km through a darkish tunnel before coming to the skeletons. Then the next 800m or so was filled on each side with bones and skulls all placed decoratively on top of each other on each side of the path. Apparently back in the late 18th and early 19th century they took the bones of those buried there and put them all into the "catacombs". I look forward to going onto the internet when we get back to learn more but I do they ...

Grab Shell, Dude!

... as was the case in Hong Kong. We had enjoyed this feature immensley in Hong Kong and its absence here was somewhat of a disappointment. To our surprise we filled the whole of Monday afternoon in the Studios, enjoying the brand-new (only open a few weeks) Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and Crush's Coaster (openned March) as well as the Moteurs Action Stunt Show, the Rock'n Roller Coaster and the Studio Tram Tour. I really enjoyed Crush's Coaster, themed as though guests are riding on ...

Aug 1 - A lazy Day

... today was to be the day of whining - my foot hurts, my throat is sore, I'm hungry, tired, have to pee, when are we going home....blah blah blah. Oh well sooner or later a day like today has to happen. We went shopping in the morning - the Franprix are great. Leslie did some laundry and vacuumed - she needs a vacation too you know. We had fruit salad for ...

... when people are praying, so we didn't spend hours there. We made the treck back down into Paris , and decided to take the bus tour once more, as we only had a few hours before the train left, and to actually look inside any of the landmarks involves at least an hour of standing in line. Despite the amazing museums, towers, arches, and buildings, I think the most memorable thing about Paris was the people. Maybe it was just one of the first nice weekends for a ...

... doing its best to hinder the establishment and growth of small business. All they want are the big companies. The big money. The big bribery. They don't get that we could revive our economy by ourselves. All they want is foreign capital. I guess many Germans don't get that. German people need to be taken care of right now. Seriously. Many of them choose to stay at home, being unemployed. They rather receive the unemployment money or the social care. Maybe you and I ...

24 Hours in Paris - Part II

... realize that everything you think you know might become strange relics pondered by others through the glass. Stop it with the philosophy, you say. But if I am to describe what I experienced, it had to include the philosophy because this was really at the forefront of my mind (and part of what kept me distracted from finding the damned exit!). This was my trip through the Louvre, the physical and the allegorical. Most won't get the same trip. I'm wired all wrong. But ...
