I went for a run towards Maksimir Park today as I read it is the best place to run in the city. Running around really helps one get acquainted to a new city. The park had huge trees along with many lakes and it was quite calming to be there. We explored the main square later in the day and discovered the cathedral which is quite striking in the middle of the lower town. Caleb asked where Jesus was now and Christine said ...

Another beautiful old town reached by the second shortest Funicular in Europe at 66m and for only 4 Kuna. It had an amazing tiled cathedral and lots of cute art galleries and a massive festival on with heaps of market stalls and Dalmatian music. When we were walking around we saw a man with a pet piglet. We also saw a tap water feature with water coming out, but it wasn't attached to a pipe.

We walked through a park which had white tents where you could buy cake and macaroons. Tom and I got an angry birds macaroon. We ran around in the park too.

... I bought a kilogram of strawberries for 10 kuna (I guess that’s about 2.5 pounds for $2). They were pretty good too. The guy had a scale where he had a fixed weight of 1 kg on one side and then put the bag of strawberries on the other side. This reminded me of all those stories of people who used to cheat their customers by using false weights like that. I’m pretty sure I don’t really care if his was 1 kg or not – there’s ...
