... and I followed meeting them again at 6pm that night and sharing dinner (and Max's hotel room!) and breakfast. From there I made the 4 hr drive back to London and Max did also - but he went via Stratford-upon-Avon to see Shakespere's birthplace. I was so thrilled to hand the keys of the (undamaged) car back this morning! It was fairly stressful driving and navigating by myself, but totally worth it! What an amazing 10 days - thanks to everyone who made it a dream come ...

Some of the buildings on the ...

... at about 3:30pm and checked into The Queen's Guesthouse. Then set out to find a laundromat. We did find one, though it was about 1/2 hour walk away and when we got there it was shutting for the day-bother. Back to washing 3 days worth of clothes in the bathroom sink! Never mind. We found a great little restaurant for a quick dinner. On the way home we saw Edinburgh Castle all lit up, it looked beautiful. Love and smiles, ...

... I am sitting in our little room with the late afternoon sun streaming in through the window as I blog. It wasn't long before we were out and about in the sunshine. We decided to have a ferry ride on Lake Windermere and so caught the 2:30pm red line ferry return to Ambleside. It was a tad windy on the ferry, but the surrounding countryside was lovely, lots of ...
