... the Adriatic, I doubt I'd have been tempted as the sea was a strange tea-colour and, with the cranes of Gdansk clearly visible in the east, I'm not sure it would qualify for Blue Flag status. The hotel, by comparison, was lovely. It had only been open for three weeks and everything down to the shower taps was very high quality. It was on the first road back from and parallel to the sea, so a great location in the (proper) summer months.
... and horrible encounter, made all the worse somehow for having just come from a place that celebrated freedom, human rights and tolerance.

Wyjechałyśmy z Castiglion Fiorentino w sobotę przed 7 rano i po 20 godzinach dojechałyśmy do domu, około 3 rano. 1890 km bez nocowania, jesteśmy dumne z naszego wyczynu :)
... enjoyed the sunshine and feel no sadness with leaving tomorrow morning! Would I recommend it to fellow-travellers? I’m not sure – if you want to visit just to “tick that box”, then go for it! But, it is part of Russia, so it requires the complicated Russian Visa, though for holders of an EU Passport, you can get a 3-day Transit Visa, which is more than enough time!
... very little international travel. New language, new food, new vistas etc. The people are fantastically generous. We look forward to keeping you posted with our posts.
