... the end this seemed impossible so we sat down at at a resort restaurant with an outdoor area and had a couple of pre-dinner cocktails. ... too. You can sit in a taxi with a local for hours and they won't say a word to you, the airport driver, tour drivers, taxi's etc... The only people so far we have conversed with and got along well with aren't Thai people at all, they are from Burma, The Phillipenes or Vietnam. Did so much in that week and experienced a lot! We went elephant trekking, exotic fruit tasting, white water rafting and canoeing in the Andaman Sea.
