We got a hot chocolate and a cookie and watched TV in the kids room until it was time to board flight AA139 to LAX. We had priority boarding and went straight on and found our seats. Dad had managed to book a row where we each had a spare seat between us. It was so ...

The waiters were all from Asia, principally Phillipines, Vietnam, etc. And the head waiters were mostly Italian. We went to know a few of them a bit better, and they were very impressive: very good memory, always smiling, working very hard hours, on for months without seeing their family, and working for the same ...

... see the Nethercut private collection of vintage cars on our own. I sensed that the Pamster was only going to keep me company but surprisingly she enjoyed herself. The collection was a mix of luxury cars from the early 1900s through to the 60s. They were in pristine condition and were all gleaming chrome work and lacquered paint. Fabulous and well worth the drive to get there. Also, have I said it was free? On the way back we took a detour ...
