The port 'fellow' was talking to them and the lady was pretty upset and lots of gesticulating and shouting.........anyway the ship came back in and they lowered the gangplank again and on they got to a lot of clapping and cheers! ... up to a castle at the top which like many medieval fortresses replace Greek and roman temples and reused much of the marble from the prior temples. The view of the Aegean sea from the top was amazing. The top of the castle had ancient roman rooms. All in all I hugely enjoyed my time spent in Mugla. It is a small city with no tourists, however this gives you the chance to really explore the Turkish culture.
I would definitely recommend CSV; it gave me the opportunity to meet people from all over the world including Taiwan, Korea and from all over Europe.
I arrived in Turkey with a preconception of what it would be like and left with a totally different view. Before I go into any detail I would highly recommend Turkey to anyone; it is absolutely stunning and the culture is unlike anything I have ever experienced before.
