... Sau Paulo´ is not really set up for tourists... We made it to a market in a slightly rough area but the meal I had was nice. Then back on the bus and for the last 4 hours had to sit as part of a young family gathering. Which I enjoyed even more when the youngest child started vomitting...

Still now in Paraty and it is beaches and hot weather all the way...

Everybody told me "why are you going to Sao Paolo, there is nothing to see" but it is wrong. Thanks to Clarissa I have had such a great time, met lovely people, ate yummy brazilian food and saw beautiful places. The city has a very european flair and its trendy.

Following a 16 hour bus ride (complete with teenage boys determined to carry on the party throughout) we arrived into a rainy Sao Paulo at about 11.30am. Escaping the hectic bustle of the central bus station by taxi, we sped our way across the city towards the "very hip,boho" (acc to RG) area of Villa Madelena. After a rather tortuous check-in at the Casa Club Hostel (thanks to the incredibly sweet but painfully slow lady on reception) we bundled into our new teeny-tiny home ...

... you've never seen a man look as enlightened as Tim after his meat fest. We're pushing the boundaries on our next bus journey - 15 hours! Can you tell we're not big fans of bus rides?! Next stop Foz do Iguaçu. We're playing it smart this time and have booked a ridiculously expensive sleeper bus. Brazil has given the bank account a bashing, so lucky we'll be moving on to cheaper pastures in a couple of days when we cross into Argentina.

... I love the public telephones that rarely work, it will be so nice to be able to call when I am late/lost/out of money on my phone card. I also miss the following things: 1) Orbit gum.
