... for a cool market in town though that sold mortadella sandwiches. Apparantly if you come to Sao Paulo you have to try one. I met Camilo [from my hostel] and a family from Sao Paulo that were also on the tour. We went to the market afterwards to have a sandwich. It was good, just a big sanwich filled with a lot of meat. Camilo and I then went to the market afterwards as I had had spied a big pile of figs and wanted to buy some. The guys at the stall just ...

Visited one of the biggest parks in Sao Paulo today. A park that is very similar to Central Park. We also bought a ton of groceries for the week and have been enjoying the view from the suite that we rented in a downtown flat.

Looking forward to a week in Sao Paulo although the city is notably very different from Rio de Janeiro.

One of the things I noticed along the way where the number of small cars and hatchbacks, that were on the roads. I asked Fernando about this, and he told me that the high gasoline prices in Brazil have forced everyone to buy smaller cars. All new cars in Brazil also need to have "Flex Fuel" engines, which means that they can run ...

... to my neighborhood and a little pizza parlor for dinner. It was about 10 and I have some traveling to do tomorrow so I decided to give up on Sao Paulo. As I passed the nice hotel next to mine, noticed a crowd of women standing at the gate talking to some guy, Here, it was the lead singer for the Black Keys. They just played Lollapolooza. He seemed pretty engaging given how big they are now. Must be the Ohio in him.
