Had a fab birthday - started with banana pancakes in bed. Then we took another dune buggy trip to Cauipe Lagoon and had a great morning session there, followed by fish lunch - v yummy.

Finished the afternoon with Mr F and I having massages at the great massage place down the road and 3 caipirihnas to go so Mr V could enjoy them with us back at the apartments. We had wonderful lobster ...

I finally had to admit defeat and take a rest day. I have had shoulder pain since day 2, despite doing less kiting than the others, and despite my great pre-hol exercise camapaign. I have diagnosed myself this morning (its great having free wifi at the apartments) with Rotator Cuff Tendonitis in both shoulder joints. Treatment: REST,ice and anti-inflammatories. Well I have been icing and taking painkillers for 3 days, so had to listen to the ...

... the boys do it). Plus just when you need it a little man arrives with ice-creams or yesterday, fresh mango juice - this is the life.

Yesterday we arrived at the Lagoon at 8am and it was still fairly busy, so today we arrived at 6am (don't forget this is 9am UK time, so not too much hassle) and we had it quiet for apprx 45mins - these guys like to get up early here !).

I am very excited ...

... When we need to pop back for drinks/re-apply suntan lotion we have everything right at our apartment, plus fresh water outdoor shower right at beach edge to rinse off us & our kit. Got a good morning session in. Mr F is singing the praises of his new board - Mr V tried it out and loved it too. Mr F's finally landing jumps and loving kitesurfing....

Found a good local restaurant and had great fish lunch = took ages tho ...

... s done more CD's than me -yes I am concerned as to what he will be trying to say??). Anyway he cone back with a man and a key, so its all good and we get inside.
It turns out that LOupey and Alex had crashed out briefly (tired from flight and *********** the water)and locked the door - didn't expect us that quickly. They soon perked up and after a couple of cheeky drinks, we all hit the hay.

... and it was a nice change of pace, compared to the cramped/smelly/dirty places we've been in so far. We're taking a bus to Salvador tonight(7pm), and that should be interesting. Salvador is largely black in population, because it had a large number of slaves during. It has lots of culture and soul, and I'm looking forward to exploring the city. Tchau tchau

... by the terrible (satellite) internet service in the Pantanal, but thankfully the machines here are light years faster and hopefully much more reliable. I hate to think how many hours I wasted trying to upload photos and blog updates while we were there.

We had dinner in a really nice "rodizio" (all you can eat) pizza place because it was on the way home and neither of us ...

... her credit, she had more patience than anyone I´ve ever met. My salsa dancing is about as good as Gunn is at being tall. I salsa danced, or at least my version of it for awhile and I never caught on and I think I´m worse now then I was to begin with. One step forward, two steps back (in a literal sense also). I tried to order a vodka tonic, but the bartender had no idea what I was talking about. I asked Cleiber how to say it in Portuguese ...

... o amando as pererecas. Kakakaka Eu disse "o banheiro". Tem muita gente para um vaso só. O outro vaso está com alguns problemas. Estão tentando adaptar mais um chuveiro para nós. Tem uma outra turma (as mulheres) que está alojada na parte superior do seminário onde estamos hospedados. O nosso banheiro entupiu.... rs O Tio Cullen deu ordem para não fazermos quase nada no banheiro. Podemos tomar banho e fazer "pouca coisa". rs S ...
