New place new friends. Fortaleza was cool because right when I got there we went out. Some Chileans brought a big bottle of pisco and before you know it we all were riding happy on the way to pink elephant. It's a popular expensive night club they have here in Brazil. A Brazilian guy in front of the tv provided us much amusement as he kept hitting the tv with his shirt, swearing at Howard Webb and/ or various Brazilian players, and couldn't watch the penalties (strange he seemed to remind us of someone, but we couldn't quite put our finger on it....). The match ended in the Brazilians favour though and the city started to party. We headed to a different bar along ...

We also bumped into Simon Harrison, a dude that went to Uni in Wellington. He was travelling with his family and was randomly on the same airport leaving at the same time and on the same plane as ...

... of room to sit. After exploring a little bit around the local area we'd found a small pretty deserted beach, a slightly busier stretch of beach and then the fan park. Most of the people around were German supporters (not surprising as Germany were based pretty much in the north east and it was a Germany game in Fortaleza that day) with the odd Ghanaian thrown in creating some atmosphere. A bit of food and we were ready to get to the game. One thing about ...
