Parthenon Curitiba Golden

Arrived in Curitiba today so I can have meetings with a potential supplier on Sunday. Depending on how that goes, I'll either need to go and have another meeting in Sao Paulo on Monday, or go somewhere else in Brasil to meet with another supplier. Either way, looks like I won't be getting home until Tues or Wed now.

Wow, to recap... Last Sunday I drove for 9 hours to Ipatinga with Elias, had meetings all Monday, then drove back to Porto Seguro on Tuesday. Had dinner with Jacqui, Elias, and the two British guys, Sav and Antony. Then Wednesday morning, I went to the mill for 2 hours(with a 1 hour drive each way), then at noon, flew to Porto Alegre to meet up with Alexandre. Thursday was spent in meetings all day. I got back to Curitiba Friday night. Stepped off the plane and BAM. I was cold. Leaving the state of Minas Gerais, I was wearing my shorts and short sleeve shirt again. Walk up to the door and smoke from the barbecue pit wafts through the air. The place is packed. Pick up a number. Grandparents, mid-lifers, twenty-somethings, teens, kids, and babies all waiting for their turn to enter paradise. The lobby offers tasty tidbits to tempt your tastebuds. I've found that in Curitiba, old style chocolatiers and confectionaries are extremely popular. I'm pretty sure they are similar to anything you'd find in Western Europe or the old West in the U.S. I guess you might find these in the big eastern cities in the U.S. but I've not spent much...or well, hardly any, time in the Eastern cities.
