Parque Nogal Maspalomas

Our boat is moored in the marina at la Palmas (Fact for you Derek: Spains 7th biggest city). The city is pretty dirty and noisy but whilst Nic was here last week we hired a car for a few days and wild camped our way around the island. Again I am suprised at how beatuiful it is - really dramatic mountains and cliffs. ... our friend Rodney then got the 2pm bus to the airport was quite worried about the flight because in England they had really bad weather and 70mph winds all week however the weather clear by the time we flew back :-D
Our flight left 15 mins late however we arrive 15 minutes before schedule and England was very cold Bring on April for my year of Backpacking :-)

... had some type of hippy festival thing going on in Las Palmas bus staion area which was really cool and about 40 little stores to look about then we went for a walk down the port area then got the bus back and had a quiet night in watching spanish tv which was quite good even though i didnt understand it lol..

... outdoors and didnt look very surcure from someone theifing your stuff!!


They let us take our bag on the camel and took a picture while
we set off which i later purchased for 5 euros which i thought was
quite good.
It was bout 30 degrees when going through the dunes and
he ever offered to take a picture for us with our personal cameras
which i thought was good because normally they wouldnt so you ...

Went to Aqualand yesterday which was really good however once your in there they charge you lots more for things like lockers and also for the sunbeds!! Ended up spending about 40 euros just to go on some slides :-S....
Last night went to the Yumbo centre went for a few drinks in a welsh bar which did really cheap drinks then went to Sparkle ...

First day yesterday here the flight was really good went really quick
and when we arrived it cost about 35Euros for a taxi to the hotel..
First impressions arriving to the hotel were good however it was a
different story when they showed us to the room! We got to our room it
was on the ground floor a big damp patch on the wall then opened the
door to the balcony and there were about 6 palm trees planted infront
of it so you couldnt see ...

Mingling by the harbour bars, meeting a lot of people and planting the seeds for the crossing. It´s all about singing along and chatting with whomever is next to you. Good things come to those who wait...inshallah : )

I’m making a mountain out of a mole-hill, I assure you it get’s worse than that, to the point of locals judging each other, and establishing subsequent social ranks, based on how well someone supposedly speaks English. Speaking of Thailand, I suppose it’s time to return. My wife’s there. There may be some inverse relationship to analytical intelligence and physical beauty, but that’s never been proven.

O destino não foi muito original, confesso.
Passado um ano da nossa viagem de finalistas, e como já vos contei, nunca mais nos largarmos, e depois de muita teimosia.. lá começámos a namorar. E já lá vão quase 4 anos.

 No verão seguinte.. 2006, portanto. Eu como sempre fui passar férias com os meus pais a Gran Canaria, mas desta vez com uma nova "aquisição".

... 17 anos, sair com os amigos todas as noites até ser de manhã, ficarmos todos juntos e todas as coisas que se fazem na viagem de finalistas.
Foi ai, que conheci o David. (Conheci, como quem diz, comecei a falar com ele. Porque já o conhecia há anos.)
 
Desde logo ficamos grandes amigos. Nessa semana até fizemos os dois um piercing... Basicamente nunca mais nos largámos. :D
