Hello from IOS! You have heard a fair amount about Naxos but I thought I'd fill in the details. We had five nights in Naxos in total. As soon as we got off our (wrong and way faster) boat we loved it! There were lots of families around, tourists but far fewer English people. Lots of local taverns and places to eat. ... are is about a 5 minute walk up the main road which follows the shoreline. Lou Anne recommended we try a place called Yannoulis which had a very traditional greek menu. We started with warm dolmatas, which are rolled grape leaves stuffed with a rice mixture, and then we also started with a grilled feta dish with roasted onions and peppers.
