... for west winds, but as of now the forecast is for southeast winds (ugh). But we are strong and we are ready, and we will treat this similar to a Narnian adventure, much in the manner of the adventures of High King Peter, Susan, Edmund, Lucy, Eustace, Jill, and others from the Chronicles of Narnia by CS Lewis (take this as a plug for these wonderful books)!

... reason most of you read my posts for the Amelia updates LOL. She got out and stretched her legs (I mean roots). Even ran into some cousins along the way (see the picture) It was quite the reunion. She got a history lesson and enjoyed the scenery of the somewhat flat lands. Far cry from the Oregon mountains but still beautiful. Enjoy these few pics of her.

... it further along on the trip. We saw Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt, and Lincoln immortalized in granite; Mount Rushmore. There, we also stumbled upon a neat presentation of the creation of the mountain (tools used, the trail taken to get to the top of the mountain, men who helped, etc.).
