We hit the road with no set agenda. Our destination was Yellowstone but we knew it was a really long drive. When planning the trip we hadn't been able to find a suitable stopover point so we were playing it by ear. It was quite a nice feeling just to be driving and see where we turned up.

Wyoming was wide open plains with ...
Casper, Wyoming, United States usa2009aswm... Morris was a living encyclopedia of the Oregon Trail. In 1993 he and his four daughters, aged 13-19 did the trail in covered wagons he had built. It took them 6 months, just like the pioneers and he had some great stories from that journey. Maria and Lauren rode horses and Tish, Tom and Ethan were in the bumpiest wagon you could ever imagine. This wagon made riding a horse feel like a ride in Bud's black Caddy. The ...

Casper, Wyoming, United States curtisallen1956... it¡¦s location. It¡¦s pretty in Jackson Hole, but not THAT pretty. So I went back up to Moran and took a sharp right to Casper Wyoming and boy, the first 2 hours of that part were so amazing too. It¡¦s the colors, the way the sun makes them warm and fuzzy, with cute ranches, cows on the road, rolling hills, amazing mountain ranges, it has everything. I definitely have a connection to this part of Wyoming and Montana. Then we go into Indian Territory ...
Casper, Wyoming, United States hendrikaThe morning of the 8th I saw that my rear tire was getting badly worn from highway miles and heavy luggage - 'squared off' as they say, a flat strip doen the middle, which ruins your handling, and the tread was almost gone. I found a bike shop in Casper that had a tire for me, which is ideal because that's the way I was heading. So after a breakfast in Interior of pancakes from 100 year old starter dough ...
Casper, Wyoming, United States bocaleeWe left at 6am on July 17 from Casper Airport. A long day of flying via Denver, Toronto to London. We were on United and Air Canada flights. All the flights were fine, except Michelle's luggage did not arrive in London when we did. We arrived in London at 7am or so.
Casper, Wyoming, United States metruffSnow is here! It started to snow on our way into Casper today. It was so pretty. It only got a few inches, but it was still really nice; the first snow of the season. Our show was in an arena tonight. Because of that, we had some sound issues, but the crowd seemed to really love it, and didn't care that it was snowing outside. It was great! We even got a standing ovation before the ...

Wyoming, Wyoming, United States reisenachinnenAnother good day, however, had to hit the interstate in Western Colorado. Not much to see anyway, just dessert, but fortunately it is high desert, so much cooler riding than Texas. My communication system had a break down in the afternoon, so no chatter with the guys and ...
Salt Lake City, Utah, United States angyoungThis as an architectural treasure created by artisans of Dushanbe, Tajikistan, Boulder's Sister City. I was unable to photograph the interior, which is elaborately painted in what strikes me as a fusion of Persian-like and Russian folk design. Plaster carvings rival any I've seen done in stone, such as those in the naves of Gothic style churches. Tea is the specialty ...
