      Drive Day

A travel blog entry by ashlyn_rebekah on Oct 05, 2014

This morning started with an awesome wake up call to the room at 5am. Because who doesn't want to be awoken to to the high-pitched shrill sound of a hotel phone? After a quick breakfast in our rooms, we were outside, on the tour bus and ready to go by 6am. We headed to the border of Nevada and Utah, where our phones changed forward an hour …

... has had a blast chasing his ball on the AstroTurf by the playground.

An easy five minute walk down a path at the edge of the park takes you to the North Platte River where you can fish your heart's content.

We have one more day here, then off to Cody, out gateway to Yellowstone!

      Bye for now. Stay well.

Mike and I said "goodbye" to Cheyenne and "hello" to Casper, Wyoming, the last stop before we hit Cody. We are 215 miles from Cody, Wyoming, which will be our home base for two weeks while we explore the wonders of Yellowstone National Park. But until then, we'll call River's Edge RV and Cabin Resort in Casper home. Remember, "Home" is where we park it !

We woke up bright and early (5:30am, not on purpose) to tackle two wonderful National Monuments. The first was Mount Rushmore (South Dakota) We did a little hiking around the Presidents Trail and saw the Presidents from various angles. Then we hit the road to Devils Tower (Wyoming). I wasn't sure what to expect from this monument but I was pleasantly surprised. We ...
