... than Tess pulling Sarah over ( more of that later ) all was fine. Ended the walk at the New DG hotel and had a few while watching England v Italy. What a romantic city!

Liverpool was a balance between York and Manchester. The city life definitely accessible but it was still cosy and romantic. We enjoyed walking along the docks and looking at the ships moored along the shore of the river whilst devouring some epically delicious homemade fudge!

Highlights definitely include the evening spent at the Cavern Club singing and dancing to Beatles tribute songs and the Tuk Tuk drive through the city.

... The church noticeboards were in the same colour as were the notice boards for the farm shop and tea room. I thought that maybe somebody in the village had created them and meant to ask about it in the shop but I forgot. It was a very tiny shop selling a variety of newspapers (they had a few of each) tinned/dried foodstuffs and a bit of stationery. Very basic but each customer treated as individuals with time to talk. I had read a notice pinned on the steps by the canal that there ...
