... day. The plane trip was fine, lots of screaming Spanish kids. The girls slept and I just read and listened to music. There were surprisingly no delays and we disembarked fairly quickly. However we then had to wait a very very long time in passport control, exacerbate by a very confusing system. Unbeknownst to us, we in for a 2 hour wait to get through passport control.
We make our way to the domestic terminal where out next ...
... passport control first but I will need a visa. A visa! Of course I don’t have one for Turkey. I ask someone else and they are even less helpful. My calm demeanour is under attack. I find another information desk and this time the young man is a little more understanding and tells me I should go to the information desk I was at on the upper level. I persuade him I was already there. He also tells me I can get some free food if I go to the upper level, to a restaurant at 8pm ...
