... br> After lunch we continued on our hike down the other side of the ridge and who do we run into? Ed and Matt who are hiking in the opposite direction! We said our brief "hello's" and agreed to meet up later. ... and also saw some kitsch displays then caught a lift to the Sphinx Terrace. This was amazing. We ascended fast and were able to go outside to enjoy the majestic view. Part of the terrace was closed due to icicles and heavy snow falling from the observatory, so although we couldn't walk around the whole 360degree terrace we thoroughly enjoyed the panoramic views we saw. ... the obsticals. wait for those!

This evening a group of us went and laid out in a meadow not to far from the hostal and watched the amaying starz landscape. saw some meteors and had one of those moments that isnt planned, but one of the highlights of the trip. just lazing there in the dark with some new found friends, with the scenerz around us....zou could just feel it, and being able to see what we saw in the skz......priceless!

First Trek in Grindelwald

The Eiger trail. The first proper day in Grindelwald consisted of the group walking along the relatively easy but exciting, Eiger trail. After taking the train from Grindelwald station up to Kleine Scheidegg at 2061m. From the station we all walked up to Eigergletscher at 2320m, which took about an hour and ten minutes.
