... whilst the rain came and went outside. We weren’t sure what the day would hold as the weather wasn’t looking good. We dressed for rain, cold and possible snow after seeing the first snow fall on the mountain tops around us late yesterday afternoon. We headed out through the town in Interlaken hoping to find McDonalds with wifi. Everything was still closed so we headed to our tourist info lady Camilla to get some advice on the day. She gave ...

... and helpful.

  • Homes are well kept and maintained, including yards which seem very organized.
  • This is the most beautiful place we've ever been.

... a "Cowpat Jumping Game" where you had to jump over the cow poop. I know....

Anyway, we got our tickets and had to wait outside (with some very bossy people bossing everybody around). The train eventually came, and it was a big, full-on train, nothing like the little ones we've gone on here. It was very crowded too. Dad, Mom, Susannah, and I were able to find four vacant seats adjacent to each other, ...

... sick if we had. We got some goulash and had to deal with a stupid waitress and then we just sat and relived it over and over until everyone else came out of the canyon and it was time to head back. We got back on the busses and started back home to get dropped off. There was a kid from Algonquin, Illinois on our bus so that was fun to meet him and get to talk about our area from home. The photographer was on our bus and we bought the professional pics from her as we were ...
