We're on our way to Italy for the next month and stopped for the night in Bellinzona in the Swiss Alps, we are only an half hours drive from Lake Lugano which we'll visit tomorrow. The first snow of the year fell last night, but I don't think anyone here gets to excited about it, as most of the hotels seem to be closed until the 4th December!

... town to town. We first went to Varenna and walked around. Then back to Bellagio for lunch on the lake. Then to Managgio and back again to Bellagio. It's all very beautiful here and we are just taking the opportunity to relax. We will use our balcony this evening for gazing into Lake Como and then tomorrow we make the trek to Strasbourg. ... at our hotel in Bellagio! Stunning! We bought our ticket from Milan to Strasbourg. Thank goodness we are traveling on Saturday. Today and tomorrow the train and airport employees are striking! I hope it ends as planned on Friday night! We took the hotel shuttle to the town center and met a nice couple from Long Island on the bus and hung out with them at Bar Rossi on the harbor. ... Second challenge was in checkin queue. The woman in front had 44kg of luggage and was trying not to pay for it. She had books out, stuff strewn everywhere, suitcase open, in an attempt to decrease weight. But woman behind counter was wise to her and got her to weigh her handbag. The negotiations continued. Saved by the woman on the next counter. And there is another side saga here. . . . ...

... mountains. Looking at the mountains with their huge houses on them undoubtedly owned by rich folk. We had a kebab for lunch and were harassed by little sparrows while eating. One of which was brave enough to go for it while it was in my hand. Cheeky *******.
