We did part of it along the Loire River last year and will be following it from here on back into France. So we were excited to see the first Eurovélo 6 sign on the town side of the bridge. Ranging from simple milk chocolate to dark chocolate truffles filled with coffee cream. Walking through I sampled 23 of the 35 flavours (leaving out many of the coffee and super dark ones) It was well worth the detour to see some Swiss chocolate in the making!

I am looking forward to having my own 4 walls again and settling in for a bit more than just a temporary situation. It is a new start again alright! We had planned a trip to Lucerne, a city famous for its surrounding scenery and covered bridges that span the Ruess River. I was there in high school and remember a lot of shops devoted almost exclusively to cow bells, hand carved clocks, Swiss army knives, chocolates and beer steins, but I guess these touristy items were not selling well enough because those shops are now gone. They have been replaced by stores of global ubiquity selling universally available items ...
