... be any road on my right and the road I am on comes to a sudden end right in a car park surrounded by loads of ancient tall buildings. Wondering where the road had gone I stopped and looked around and finally noticed there actually was a road to my right hidden away in the corner between two large buildings and extremely narrow indeed. This little opening looked more like a entrance to someone garage than a main road.

Onwards and upwards this little single track road ...

... IPad and I was well beaten by Jenny as is mostly the case. No Wifi in the room but it is advertised so will ask about it. Was not too interested in the TV show which had naked men and women dancing with a block of concrete. Back to Austria?

Time to leave Valle Verde. Decided to give Austria
another try as we are hearing that the weather has improved. However, with low
cloud this morning, there is little point in going over the high Dolomite
passes.

Decided to go north through Moena and then west over a lower
pass to Bolzano. As expected, the low cloud made for little viewing of the
mountain peaks.

... gear corners with a few first gears. Stopped to take some pictures and admire the valley view back to where I had ridden from, the clouds were coming in and weather was changing. Stopped at the refuge for brekky ( heard later that George Guille has also stopped there while he started riding arid the world) and coffee had to take photos through the Refuge window - the view was stunning. ... of another gorge but we are too old for this sort of thing, so
we called it a day, had lunch and started our return journey.

All in all, a very nice days walking – 4+ hours in all.
Returned to camp, did the laundry and caught up on some overdue tasks. The
weather outlook is not good for the next few days, so it looks like it might be
time to move on. The question is, “where to?”.
