It's not the highest mountain, but the highest railway. We took three different trains to get there and the last train was on a cog rail. Again, beautiful views all the way up! The temperature for Interlaken was 27*, approx 560 m altitude. Jungfraujoch is 3454m and about 3* when we were ...

... search of the snow through tiny hamlets and windy mountain tracks until we got above the snow line, it wasn't that impressive just a few pockets of greyish snow hanging about waiting for spring. Didn't really want to go up to the ski resorts so headed to the trummelbach falls, a set of 10 separate waterfalls inside the mountain, an elevator took us up through the rock to the walkway point then we climbed up the steps through ...

... rren it was about 90%25 uphill. The hike up was difficult and testing but extremely worth it. The panoramic views of the valley below from some of the lookout points were breathtaking. It took us 3hrs to reach Mürren as we were hiking at a reasonable rate. The rain started to fall halfway through our journey and the stone and dirt track became muddy and slippery. When we reached Mürren, we decided to stop at one of the hotels for lunch to reset ourselves and get some energy ...
