      GUTEN TAG When we left Amsterdam we travelled for about 2 hours before we crossed the border into Germany, we were then on the auto barn where there is no speed limit for cars, 80 million people live in Germany, there are many wind farms in the countryside, also Germany is known for the large amount of breweries, approx 1500, hence Octobfest being held there annually in Munich.       ... on this line it simply has only one car which is simply hung on two strong cables and is pulled upwards on these two rail/cables by a smaller cable and wound around a drum at the top station.

      All aboard and we are soon on our way to Winteregg which is set at 1578m above Lauterbrunnen. Looking across the mountains we can see our hotel in the cliff edge town of Wengen. From here it looks tiny.

      ... The first day, we went on a tour of the chocolate shoppe in Interlaken (purely for the free samples) and they lived up to the expectation of amazing swiss chocolate. I did, however, try a handful of 100% cocoa and I don't know if it was actually chocolate or just a display because I almost…anyway, all the other samples were amazing and we got a 8 franc voucher to buy more chocolate from the store and it too was awesome.

      ... descent paragliding through the Swiss Alps. Another 2 checks off my bucket list (first time on a motorcylce). After landing I skipped around town, and came home so enthused that I took off again for a run to jump, only to end up at one of the lakes for a swim that was encircled by mountain ranges. I have found my heaven. Tomorrow I head down to Zermatt to hike the mountains, then will head to Austria to Inesbruck to meet my fellow Canadian gals. All for now, Cheers xo!

This village has a little more of a resort feel to it, being the only one with a beach and built upon mostly level ground. It is divided into two sections, a new town and old town.
