On the advice of our server, who plied us with cocktails on our first night in Lauterbrunnen, we set the alarm at 6:30 am to make the first train up the mountain to Jungfrau - the Top of Europe. ... generous with their offerings of toys, books, videos, DVDs from their house (we are staying in his sister's house). They had lots to offer in terms of ideas about what to do and see and in parting words from Patrick, he dashed by the house the morning he was leaving to go back to Nyon (where they live) and passed us the book on Muggestutz.

Then all went back to ...

The first thing I heard as the crowds disappeared was the sound of a waterfall - although I couldn't see anything because it was already dark. The sound was so peaceful and serene.

Unpacked at our cabin - which honestly ; so small I have no idea how ...

An Irish Pub, a Kiwi patron and a Swiss town . . .

... we’d timed it pretty well, as we entered the tavern just after 3.15pm – i.e. plenty of time to find a back up if the game wasn’t on.

We were in luck, the Kiwi owner of the pub was definitely showing the game, so we sat down to enjoy the match, Oktoberfest beer in hand and pretzels to munch on. 4pm rolled around and with ol’ Justin Marshall (the worst ...
