On 9/14 we made the long hike from Engstlenalp to Meiringen. Much of the way was a narrow one-foot-in-front-of-the-other trail along a ridge looking down into the steep valley with the clouds below us. Rain was forecast so we got an early start. It took 8 hours to reach Meiringen and we were lucky to have only a short period of misty rain. On 9/15 we had a relaxing ...

I'll keep you posted about my wish! Next day we saw the colosseum which was spectacular as you ...

... Close to 80% of the trip consisted of college students who signed up for the Chili *********** only to hear that the canyon flooded early this morning. Everyone was a little disappointed and then saw our first task. We were looking down a 50ft drop! I chose to go first mainly because no one else wanted to and why not and get it over with! It is weird trusting someone with the rope and just letting your body lean back and hope the guy ...

... the deep snow and taking photos of the breath taking view. We hopped back on a cable car and came down the mountain which was just as spectacular, especially with the sun setting behind the mountains! We caught a train back to Interlaken and had some dinner in town before heading back to our hotel for an early night - big day tomorrow, we're heading up ...
