      Opened the curtains to a sunny morning so decided to risk the walk through the nature reserve, saw a white bellied black squirrel bouncing through the trees this time, along the river and canal banks and into Interlaken , we continued on to the far side of town and got the funicular railway up the harder kulm, it was very steep going through tunnels and rocks before arriving at the top platform with stunning views of both lakes, Interlaken set between them ...

      ... vehicle and vehicles being denied entry if they are defective in any way. When we got to the border, there was an actual border guard (the first we have seen anywhere) but he just waved us right through without even stopping! So much for vehicle inspections and registration checks!
