home town of Wengen. I once again simply stand looking over the cliff and take
in all the views of this magnificent area. As I stand here looking the normal
train from Lauterbrunnen arrives and here step off the remaining lot from our
tour. "How did you get up here so quickly" they ask and after explaining that we
had our very own train they again put the fault down to that useless ghost tour
guide of ours. ...
... Wyatt (he calls it his "beer") kept the little ones happy. Meanwhile, the hikers were not as impressed as yesterday's bike riding. They came back soaked and cold from a glacier walk in the rain. Yeah for choosing to stay back with the kids!
This was followed by a gondola ride plus a bus ride (Amelia was in a coma on the bus) then a train home. Now off to dinner and early to bed. ...

We took the small van back to Strechelberg and caught the cable car back to and hiked an additional 200 m to our takeoff destination. As the three pilots prepared their gear I strapped into the jacket they provided and took some pictures. My tandem pilot Robin fitted my helmet tightly and my harness, to me surprise, loosely! Apparently it's supposed to be loose! ...

Our guidebook had recommended the “north face” walk from lower down so we thought we might hop off the gondola at Mürren if the weather was nicer below. Sure enough, once we got down lower the clouds were gone and we once again had incredible views.
