      ... in what seemed like milleseconds. LOVE THE PLAYPARK!! We hadn’t cracked the ipods yet today!!

      A small tram sent us the rest of the way and finally we were at the zoo station. A quick jaunt and we were in the magical land of wonder and animals.

      “PENGUINS MAMA!” screamed you know who as she dashed past the entrance without paying and straight to the penguins where she started climbing on them…

      ... is as spectacular as the views over the town of Meiringen and the Aare valley. The falls themselves create a huge cloud of spray – not surprising as they drop 250m, and there is of course a cutout of Sherlock Holmes to have your picture taken with; how could I not?






      We walked up the (very steep) path to a viewing balcony, but aging lungs and knees prevented us from going the whole way ...

      ... our blogs with the use of free wifi. We headed back home, for a stroll around the campsite, down to lake and a kick of the soccer ball, then dinner then bed. I think we’ve adjusted, kids all awake till 8pm today but crashed as soon as they went to bed. What a day, feeling so thankful for what we’ve experienced today and that we’re all feeling more settled with the travelling experience. Hopefully the next change won’t unsettle too much ...

      ... 240 m)… which is just about halfway up Mt. Rainier if you think about it. We spent about an hour in Interlaken so people could find ATMs and get Swiss Francs. For those of you who know me, you won’t be surprised that we already had ours before we left Seattle!

      Our hotel was up at the far end of the Lauterbrunnen Valley- our hotel was 2 buildings, with an Annex at the back. Guess which one we were in. Yep, and we had to share a bathroom and a shower with 6 other ...
