    ... day walking with a picnic up in the mountains. Our legs hadn't quite recovered from yesterday's hike - but once we had warmed up, from the climb straight up from the car park, we were fine. Thankfully we didn't loose the path too much this time - so managed to get the whole walk done in the daylight !! :) - yet another day of amazing views - fab ...

    ... our walk to be quite so long. We unfortunately started to loose daylight at about 5pm and chose to head back into the valley on a different route, down a rather steep track, which took us a good few miles out of our way, but at least we were on a known and made road. We had had an amazing day, with some breath-taking views, but ended up doing about 15 miles in total - down the valley and up ...

    ... because it was -1 out. I wore a sleeveless base layer under one of my long sleeve cycling jackets under my street jacket, plus a skullcap to cover my ears, long sleeve gloves, my jeans over top of my cycling shorts, and finally I kept my street pedals on so I could have warm shoes. After all this there was still times I was a little chilly! It didn't matter though, because the ride was unlike anything I've ever seen.

    ... keeping us comfortable in every way.

    The tap water is ice cold, originating as alpine snow. Our clothes lie on cast iron to dry. Our time here is extremely easy on the soul. Captivated by the pure air, majestic mountains, and simple living, our stay is extended by two nights; replacing the next large city on our itinerary.
