Just when we thought Venice was the most beautiful place we would visit in Italy, Varenna may have beaten it into second place. Neither of us can get our heads round the fact that we are actually seeing what's around us. The apartment is amazing and the views from the balcony alone are worth the trip. Claire has also befriended a blind cat so we keep having to think of excuses to go and see the lady so Claire can rub the cat.

Well, I'm sorry this update is a little bit late, I got caught up hiking in the mountains and just having an altogether great time and updating my blog just didn't manage to make its way to the top of my priority list. Our arrival in Florence was great. We met ...

The footpath was made of various sized stones set willy nilly in the soil, which made hiking even more of ...

... opportunity before jumping back into the car.
We were now heading for Italy and craving for the great coffee at Cafe Sport. The GPS directed us to Varenna and the car ferry. We were hoping like mad that the ferries were in operation. Phew, we only had to wait 20 minutes and a 10 minute ferry trip later we were in Bellagio.
We found our accommodation at Bellagio apartments and meet our host Giulio who was so lovely. He runs a small bar and restaurant close by and as ...
