The owner, Salvatore, was a real character, and insisted we eat lunch when we arrived at 4pm - Nuka had a gamberi pasta (Domenica eating prawns!!!!), Lia a Carbonara, Paolo Vongole and I had a Sicilia pasta - wonderful home cooked food with homemade bread out of Salvatore's pizza oven. ... ready for a late night as the game started at 12. I slept and Don stayed up till 3am. He was reluctant to get moving in the morning. After a brekkie of fruit, chocolate croissant and cake we were on the road. To get out of Isola was a logistically nightmare! ... dinner in Ostuni. 6 of us went by shuttle bus back into town. How different it was where we stopped. There was a busy Piazza in the old part of town. Cato dropped us off and with no directions we tried to find the restaurant. There was a stage set up with music playing as the new Mayor was going to address the crowd.
