Today was the best day of riding yet. We left Taormina and headed to Messina for our ferry ride back to the mainland. Sicily was a lot of fun with amazing ancient artifacts to see. I must admit though, the countryside is nothing like I had imagined, nor the food. Tropea - back on the main land
... we gave that up in favour of the free area that had the most amazing views of the town above sitting on the cliff face, beautiful clear aqua water and clear sands. Wow! No wonder it was so popular, that was the only downside of course, the crowds... but we always swam further out away from the shallow area and got our daily exercise by treading water and floating in the open waters.
