... the castle, where I stop for coffee. It's very steep and my legs are feeling it. I carry on and eventually come out at tiny little lakeside town. It's a beautiful (though a bit difficult) walk with magnificent views of the lake from up high. More photos. Back down lakeside, I head back towards Varenna. I stop at Hotel Villa Cipressi for late lunch. Spaghetti with duck ragu and porcini mushrooms. ...

We crossed the border from Austria into Switzerland and soon arrived at St Moritz. Once again the scenery was amazing with snow capped mountains, people skiing along walking tracks, husky's at training school and a lake that was covered over. We stopped for a break and a ...

... a feminely tone to my voice as much as I could muster and said it was taken. As I got up to leave I peeked out the door and the coast was clear! We went for a stroll along the huge lake and ate some kebabs on the shoreline. Italians must not take food to go as we got some petulant stares from some people walking past.

We had booked an 8 bed dorm for the next two nights (what are the odds of 1 out of 6 others snoring!) and were more than pleasantly surprised when the ...
