... and the higher we climbed the more visceral the experience of the water's power was.

We then continued to walk along the valley, which was a lovely sensory experience: in addition to the spectacular scenery, we took in the sound of cow bells, the smell of freshly mown grass from the farmers' hay making, (also the smell of cow dung!!) para-gliders floating from the ridges above, lycra-clad bikers zipping past, various grades of walkers ...

Saturday morning dawned and Jase had one really important thing on his mind – find a place to watch the Rugby! We'd googled an Irish pub in the Swiss town of Interlaken that sounded like the best bet, so we crossed the border and farewelled summer, heading high into the hills of Switzerland.

We were treated to some beautiful scenery as we climbed our way towards the centre of the country, traversing ...

    ... up to reputation.

The hostel we stayed at was in prime location with our room’s window facing out to some of the little town, a massive waterfall and both sides of the valley. After checking in we decided to go for a wander, which ended up being a 5 hour walk, around the beautiful area of Lauterbrunnen. Each turn and corner was breath ...
