On the bus to Dresden I ended up sat next to a German man who spoke very little English. He did, however, offer to show me around the city the following day. There was no free walking tour, so despite the difficulty communicating with him, I accepted his offer! I made my way to the hostel, with the help of my new German friend Ullrich. Good that Motel 1 in Dresden was nice :)

... town of Pirna then got a train back. Pirna was a typical larger town with many charming old buildings, town square, cobblestone walkways, churches etc, so hard to take! The public transport in this country is most efficient, back to our hotel was so easy. Sunday was a much more strenuous day. There were hundreds of walking trails through this National Park which could be explored. We caught a tram inland, up the valley, then headed off into the hills. There is ...

So, yesterday was the first time in my life I skipped school ;-) True, we didn't have to go, but we had been planning on it but didn't.
I had gotten up at 6 and got ready at 6:30 and went upstairs and didn't find Tim, so Bettina and Carina left, and I thought maybe we were going to go to school a little later since it was Monday and the kids had a swimming lesson which we couldn't participate in, so I ate food and... I don't know, ...
