... is clean and brightly lit. There are groups of men who would have travelled to Berlin for last nights game. Even when busy, the station manages crowds very well. A train arrived 15 minutes prior to our set departure. Annette was up getting some tucker for the trip. I didn't think anything of it. Annette arrived on the platform to say that is our train. I haven't moved as fast in three days. We had to find Carriage 5. I was looking, looking, looking ... at the wrong number. Asked one ...

    Dresden rest day (0km) - Day 21

A travel blog entry by sydandval on Jun 04, 2015

Another warm, sunny day, and for us a rest day. We were up early, as usual, walked to the train station at 9am to check email and bill payments (there is free email here while the booking office is open, unlike the hotel where you have to pay). We found a coffee shop open for business and had a coffee and quark pastry (quite addictive) before walking the bikes to the Meissen workshop and ...

... town of Pirna then got a train back. Pirna was a typical larger town with many charming old buildings, town square, cobblestone walkways, churches etc, so hard to take! The public transport in this country is most efficient, back to our hotel was so easy. Sunday was a much more strenuous day. There were hundreds of walking trails through this National Park which could be explored. We caught a tram inland, up the valley, then headed off into the hills. There is ...

    Best Broccoli EVER!!!

A travel blog entry by kuerbis on Jul 05, 2013

... potatoes (which she always has down to perfection. They are always so soft and easy to cut into) and probably the best Broccoli I have ever tasted. She said it was broccoli and cheese, but... oiyoiyoi, there HAD to be something magical in there! It had been baked, and the broccoli was so soft, but parts near the edge had a nice little crispness to there tops, and then the cheese was melty and gooey on the inside and ********* the ...
