We are saying goodbye to Germany today until 30 September when we travel to Munich for Oktoberfest. Picked up a car in Berlin and drove to Prague with a stop in Dresden. Spent too little time in Dresden, just an hour or so, seeing Zwinger and Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady).

Today was another bus day - Prague to Berlin. Lunch wasn't provided so we stopped for about an hour in Dresden for a brief walking tour to the Protestant and Catholic churches, a long mosaic wall and to have lunch. Jen and Sean took those of us brave enough to try it for currywurst. When we got there Sean told us a cautionary tale involving a lot of sweat and hallucinations when he tried ...
... and polished off a few drinks. We also made plans to meet up again back in the UK on September 5th to attend a round of the British Superbikes at Oulton Park.
After 3 days in Dresden it was time to farewell Chris and head our separate ways once again. Chris, heading west through Germany and the Netherlands back to the UK, us, heading north-east to another destination in Poland that has been on Greg's bucket list for quite a while.
-we navigated our way through the little town with nice vistas of the rock promontories in the distance. Once in the forest we lost our view a bit but were able to roughly follow our progress on the map.

... taste test to ensure that it was fit for human consumption. My order was the beef and pork steak (Suzanne style) with veg - yep, it was a rissole but a bloody nice rissole at that.
We were enticed into a shop and were not permitted to leave until we made a purchase. The cheapest item in the shop was a single scoop of ice cream - coffee mascarpone, very nice it was too.
A short walk back to our palace and soon to bed. ...
