... short, the damn route got us lost and we ended up doing another massive detour. At rixheim, we eventually turned around to try to find any kind of river to camp on. Rivers are nice. We didnt find the rhine, but ended up staying on the banks of a kittle canal which was super pretty and a fair distance from any dodgy dog walkers!

NOTHING is open! The only reason we put Mulhouse on our itinerary was the car museum. It was Andrew and Alain's dream to visit this museum, one of the largest car collections in the world. YAWN! So Andrew and Alain headed off this morning to live out their fantasies and the rest of us walked into town to find some breakfast. ... the town. Pretty amazing for a village of 3,000 people! I think that the various wellness centres and the cathedral really draw people in because the downtown was quite cosmopolitan. The dome of the cathedral itself is one of the biggest in Europe. The interior itself is quite white and unusual because it is circular.
