... mark the 900th birthday of the Cathedral.
The choir stalls, which were built in 1380, are both beautiful and grotesque. Part of their beauty lies in the delicate high spiky intricate canopy which is perched above the stalls, and part of their grotesqueness lies in the wonderful carvings at the end of each stall, and on the misericords.

We had a seriously *************necting to the wifi there and a lady who worked their spent her time trying to help us connect. When we eventually gave up frustrated, we insisted it was ok. It was not ok... She replied with, "no it's not ok... I'll get a manager". Her dedication to helping us, was a really special ...

Liverpool and General Thoughts and Observations

... cars. I think the reason is self-evident from the previous paragraph, and gas is also more expensive here.

We don’t think tipping is done here. It’s not an option on the credit card machines and when Donnie tipped at the bar, they always immediately put it in a donation box (usually for something military; there seems to be a great sympathy for the military here).
