          Sight seeing, sorta

          ... in 1897 when they built their house. It is up on a cliff overlooking the valley. By the time we arrived, it also was getting ready to close, so we just walked around the grounds for a bit.

          One of the couples we met last year at the Passport America Rally in Concord, NC is here and are also staying tonight, so we're going out to eat later. They are from Texarkana and know one of the couples in our RV chapter. Anyway they are also working their way north for the FMCA rally.

          ... a short while, Bob went back to the gathering place and I went for a long walk. There is a Kmart across the street from the fairgrounds so I walked over there and did some looking around. Didn't buy anything, but I needed to get my steps in for today and I really don't like walking around in circles. I'd rather go to a store and walk around looking at things.           ... t make a difference. It was mostly bulk items and homemade noodles, candy, etc. No bread, however. We did manage to spend a few bucks there, but we had already determined that we would be stopping in Tipton at the Dutch Bakery. Heather couldn't remember the name of the restaurant, but when I did a search on the GPS of eating establishments in the area, Lehman's Family restaurant was one of the choices and it sounded more like the right place than PIONEER CAFE' so ...

          ... put for a while. It came down pretty good for about an hour.

          They were going to play BINGO, so we joined in. Ten games for $10 is pretty good. We didn't win anything but we stayed dry. There were several people who went back to their coaches to retrieve their pets and when they came back in, they all looked like they were in wet T-shirt contests.

          It finally quit raining, but the light show is still going on. Hopefully it will not rain any ...

          ... good GPS, but it didn't know where the park was located. The website had a different address than the actual one and when the GPS indicated our arrival, we were in the middle of a country road with no park in sight. We were where we could not turn around so we just kept driving, slowly! I called the campground and she gave me another address, put that one in the GPS and it took us right to it. We stayed in the same park about 4 years ago while doing our Route 66 ...
