... All I’ve ever known is Buffalo. Yes, I’ve traveled to a number of other states on vacations, but just for a week here and there. Part of me wishes I went out-of-state for college so I could have had that experience of being on my own away from home. Mark picked us up and drove us back to our hotel. We leave tomorrow a.m. for Bryce Canyon National Park.

I have a massive backlog of books, so I only bought one - The One and Only Ivan - but the girls bought a good few. After Powell's we went to get lunch. The girls went to Whole Foods, but Dad and I went to the food trucks, which are famous here. Good food. After lunch we went to a waterfall way out in the ...

Exit Stage Left

A travel blog entry by no-moinutah on Jun 03, 2012

I'll just make some brief notes about our return trip to home base. We make an early start to the airport for our departure. There are several stages to get to the gate: terminal security, U.S. pre-clearance, a 2nd security check. But it’s nice to be able to get it all done at the start. This means no customs check at JFK. One recommendation I would make to others for a morning departure: arrive a half hour earlier than necessary ...
